The Writing Ranch, marking its 8th year in Todos Santos, and the Todos Santos Writers Workshop, in its 4th annual gathering, are collaborating for the first time in 2017. The two creative writing workshops, meeting concurrently February 5-11, will share special events and guest speakers as a celebration of storytelling and the written word in the town of Todos Santos, Baja California Sur.

Rex Weiner, co-founder of TSWW with novelist Gordon Chaplin and writer/editor Jeanne McCulloch, said, “We’ve always been inspired by Ellen Waterston’s creative and educational work and we look forward to bringing all our writers together to Todos Santos for an extraordinary week in February.”

Ellen Waterston, founder and director of Writing Ranch, said, “This exciting collaboration is value-added for all concerned.”

Among the events scheduled to bring the two workshops together is a reading Tuesday night (Feb 7) by TSWW/WR faculty, in the legendary Casa Dracula courtyard, to which the public is invited. Also, a dinner with a special guest speaker (to be announced) will be held at Serendipity, the Writing Ranch retreat’s home base. Several events, including a Publishers Roundtable featuring prominent literary agents and editors, will be open to the public for a donation.

Registration for both workshops is now open. Please see websites for details.
